PayPal as your Online Business Partner

So, you want to learn to make money on the Internet. You have done the ground work and found out what you want to sell. You may have even begun to set up a website to showcase your products and tell more about the business. Now you need to make it work for you in the best possible way.

PayPal is an online service that allows you to accept payments from customers. On eBay, PayPal is used a lot by sellers to accept the payments made by buyers for their products. The system is quick and easy when you have a PayPal business account. If you are not the eBay type of seller, PayPal can be used beyond eBay to enhance the flow and productivity of your business.

In today’s world it is prudent to know a little bit about website design. If you know how to use HTML, you can set up a basic website for your business. Even those people who don’t know a whole heck of a lot can pay for a site builder service to help them establish their site. The important thing here is to know how you want the pages to look and what information you want to display.

For selling purposes, it is helpful to have a storefront on your website. Customers can browse your list of products and choose what they want to purchase. The listing includes pictures and descriptions along with price per unit. A storefront makes shopping on your site easier. This is where PayPal comes in.

On PayPal you can sign up for their virtual terminal service. Here, they provide a way for you to accept credit card payments from customers online and offline. It is like the little box where you slide your card at grocery stores and gas stations. As soon as the provided credit card information is verified, the payment is made to your account on PayPal. Credit cards are easier to deal with than checks or bank account drafts. They simplify your business process.

PayPal even helps to set up your online store by providing shopping carts for your customers. I like shopping carts because I can add something and continue to shop. Whenever I want, I can check my shopping cart and delete or change the number of each item ordered. Once you have set up the shopping cart, the hard part is done. Each time a person checks out and uses their credit card to pay, you will be notified by PayPal of the completed transaction.

PayPal also generates business reports so that you can check your inflow and outflow of cash. For repeat customers, you can generate invoices that will automatically be sent to them for a service provided. Reports can be generated on a weekly or monthly basis and divided into payments and debits. When you use PayPal, you reap the benefits of a secure, easy to use system.

When selling on eBay, it is important to offer buyers a variety of payment options. If you don't allow a payment method that they can use easily, they may move on to the next seller. There are several ways that you can accept payment on eBay.

PayPal

PayPal is the payment option preferred by eBay, because they own it. But it also offers numerous benefits to buyers. They can pay with credit or debit cards, as well as their PayPal account balance. It also allows greater privacy, because they do not have to provide their credit card or bank account number to the seller. PayPal accounts are free to set up, and buyers do not have to pay fees to use the service.

PayPal has benefits for sellers as well. For those who do not have a merchant account, it provides a less expensive and less complicated alternative. There are no setup fees and no monthly fees, and the fees per transaction are similar to those incurred when using a merchant account. There is also a seller protection policy that offers protection against fraudulent transactions.

Merchant Accounts

Merchant accounts are the means by which most offline businesses accept credit and debit card payments. You can accept credit card payments through your merchant account for eBay sales if you have one.

If you do not already have one, it is important to note the fees charged before applying for one. Fees vary by processor, but they usually include a hefty setup fee, monthly fees, and per-transaction fees. Merchants must fill out applications and submit to credit checks before being approved for a merchant account as well.

Other Payment Options

eBay permits some online payment services other than PayPal for those who prefer them. These include Moneybookers, Propay, Allpay, and a few others. The company evaluates all payment services before allowing them.

Sellers can offer buyers the option of paying by check, bank transfer, or money order as well. These options allow greater flexibility for buyers, but they also carry some risk with them. The risks include forgery, fraud, and counterfeit instruments. Therefore, it is important to consider them carefully before offering them.

eBay are not allowed to solicit payment by Western Union, Moneygram, or any other non-bank transfer service, and they can't ask buyers to send cash by mail. They are also not allowed to accept payments by having users add funds to their prepaid credit or debit cards, or through any online payment service not specifically approved by eBay. Violators of the policy may be subject to cancellations of listings, loss of account privileges, or account suspension.

While PayPal is one of the most popular payment methods for eBay sellers, there are other options. The most important thing is to make it easy and convenient for your buyers to pay you. Doing so will result in greater buyer confidence, which in turn results in greater willingness to bid on your items.

Mass Pay-PayPal Account

Why Mass Pay Is a Must For Paying Affiliates Via PayPal

PayPal has changed the way we send and receive payments online. Shoppers can use PayPal when shopping with many merchants to avoid giving out their credit card number. Sellers can accept payments without having to qualify for a merchant account. Affiliate managers can pay their affiliates quickly and easily.

It doesn't take long to send a payment through PayPal. It's quicker than writing a check. Sending multiple payments through PayPal can add up to a lot of time spent just sending out commissions. That's why Mass Pay is a must for affiliate managers.

What Is Mass Pay?

With Mass Pay, you can make multiple payments by creating a single file and uploading it to PayPal. PayPal sends the money to the recipients you specify, and they can transfer it to their checking accounts or access it with a PayPal debit card. It's simple and convenient for all concerned.

One of the benefits of Mass Pay is the low fee. PayPal charges 2% or $1 for each payment, whichever is lower.

How Do I Use Mass Pay?

To send payments with mass pay, all you need is each payee's email address and the amount of each payment. You can optionally add a recipient ID and customized note but it is not necessary. There's no need to have affiliates' mailing addresses or even their names handy when making payments.

When it’s time to send out payments, create a tab-delimited text file. This can be accomplished with most spreadsheet programs. Just create a spreadsheet with the payee's email address in the first column, the payment amount in the second column and the currency code (USD for U.S. dollars) in the third column. If using recipient IDs and notes, they go in the fourth and fifth columns respectively. When done just choose the option to save it as a tab-delimited text file.

Once the file is ready go to PayPal and click on Mass Pay at the bottom of any page. Then choose the option to make a Mass Payment. You'll be prompted to locate the file and upload it and with a few clicks of your mouse your payments will be processed.

How Does Mass Pay Affect My Affiliates?

Mass Pay allows affiliates to access their money instantly if they have a PayPal debit card. If they don't, they can transfer it to their bank account. Either way, it is usually quicker than waiting for a check in the mail. Affiliates don't have to pay transaction fees on money they receive through Mass Pay.

Paying affiliates through PayPal's is beneficial to everyone. It saves lots of time and it gives them quick access to their funds. Mass Pay is easy and inexpensive to use, making it ideal for managers of affiliate programs large or small.
