7 Free Lessons from the Teachers of The Secret

One of the things that many people across the globe share is the daydream of quitting their jobs and becoming their own boss. Many of these people have no ambition or desire to become the next tycoon or mogul; they simply want to own their own small online business. Some may call this fantasy “the American dream”.

While owning an online business may be a great dream or fantasy, it’s not always a great reality. Becoming “the boss” generally means that a person will be taking on more work, more responsibility, and more stress than they ever had as an employee.

It takes a lot of people to make the world turn, and some people are more suited to being employees than business owners. The following are some personality traits that can help a person become a more successful business owner.

Business owners truly need to be independent. Owning your own business could mean working by yourself. People who enjoy being surrounded by a team of co-workers may be very lonely as a business owner.

Organizational skills are a must! A person who is constantly losing clients’ phone numbers and assignment details will have a hard time being successful in their own business.

Along with organizational skills, time management skills are also mandatory. As the boss, a person needs to know what work needs to be done, when the work is due, and be able to organize the tasks in a way that is efficient and timely.

Having the freedom to create their own schedules is one of the reasons people start dreaming of becoming their own boss. This freedom can get business owners in trouble. It can be very easy to procrastinate on tasks or simply put off work to do other activities. A successful business owner needs to be self-disciplined in order to complete the work, even when they would rather be doing something else.

Being self-motivated is another trait that will lead to success. As an employee, a person may get various rewards for meeting goals and accomplishing tasks. As a business owner, there won’t be anyone else to push and pull you towards your goal. This drive is something that needs to come from within.

It can take several years for a business to actually become profitable and successful. Having the ability to stay positive, even in hard times, as well as making the commitment to keep working every day towards the end goal, will help a business owner tremendously.

Deciding to become a business owner can be scary and daunting, but it can also be one of the best decisions a person will ever make. Only you can decide what is right for you.

Special Reports For Affiliates To Use Online

Affiliates use a variety of methods to promote products online. Some run email campaigns or promote through weekly or monthly newsletters. Others maintain websites that provide informative or fun content or product reviews. Still others discuss and recommend products through their blogs.

One thing that works no matter how promoted online is the special report. Special reports can be written on any subject imaginable, then given away online to promote products. Many smart affiliate managers write these reports, and then allow their affiliates to brand them and give them to their site visitors or members of their mailing lists in an attempt to get sales. It works.

What Should I Write a Report About?

Write a special report about anything that is closely related to the product. It could present a problem that can be solved by your product. If you are selling a fairly common product, it could detail new ways of using it or how to get the most out of it.

It is important to provide information that potential customers can use and will enjoy reading. Write a report that is just an advertisement for the product in disguise, readers will see through it. Give them something that they can use, they will be more inclined to listen to your message and possibly buy the product.

What If I'm Not a Good Writer?

No one has to have a master's degree in English to write a special report. All you need is a conversational writing style and a good command of spelling and grammar. If spelling and grammar are not your strong points, you can always use a spell checker and a proofreader.

If you really don't want to write your own report, hire someone to do it. There are plenty of freelance writers out there who would be happy to put together a report. They might even be willing to come up with a topic if you can't get past that part of it.

What Is Branding?

Branding is simply adding the individual affiliate's links to the report so that they will get credit for sales resulting from their distribution of the report. This can be accomplished using the program used to create the report. There are also free software programs that can add in affiliate links for some third-party affiliate managers. Use them to brand reports for affiliates, or offer them to the affiliates so that they may do it themselves.

Branded special reports are a great asset to affiliates. By distributing the report and allowing others to do so as well can increase their sales. That is beneficial to everyone involved.

Multiple Products: Is More Better?

It can be a thrilling feeling to start an affiliate program. Watching the number of affiliates grow, and seeing sales jump as affiliates start marketing your products. It's all a great feeling and one that if done correctly can have an affiliate manager eager to add more products to their lineup. After all, if it’s exciting to start selling one product through an affiliate program, it is probably really exciting to sell multiple products through an affiliate program, right?

Offering multiple products does have it share of benefits. For starters, having something new to offer to existing customers is a great way to earn more money. If someone buys something once, it's proven that they are more likely to buy again. They already have a relationship with the product owner and a built-in loyalty that only comes from a current customer.

For online business owners today, offering the options customers want is a vital aspect of winning the sale. Multiple payment methods give consumers a choice, but credit card payments are far and away the most popular. Credit cards are convenient for consumers to use and sites that accept them show higher revenues from impulse purchases and other add-ons.

There are two ways that ecommerce sites can arrange to accept credit card payments. One is by establishing a merchant account through the business owner’s own bank. Another is to use a third-party service to process the payments. Read more

Discount codes give cost savings to customers while providing valuable data and inventory control to the seller. Here are five reasons that creating discount codes can benefit an etailer's business:

1. Bring in new customers. When a consumer is ready to buy and knows of multiple sources for the product, price is often the deciding factor. Consumers are attracted to a good deal. Offering a discount code to new customers provides an added reason to shop at a particular website over all other options.

2. Encourage repeat business.
Satisfied customers will be more likely to shop again when they are reminded to do so, and given a compelling reason to return. A special discount code can be sent via email at specific intervals as a thank-you for past purchases and to encourage repeat business.

3.Increase order size.
Time-limited offers create a sense of urgency and give customers a reason to buy more than they originally intended. Discount codes can be offered for a percentage off the purchase price of a second item, for example, or for free shipping on orders totaling a specific amount.

4. Tracking.
Gathering data on customer trends is imperative for every etailer. Issuing separate discount codes for different mailings, website promotions and affiliate partners, for instance, provides important information on where customers come from and which marketing campaigns are most effective. This data can then be used to make decisions about future marketing programs.

5. Control inventory flow.
Physical stores manage inventory flow by marking down items they want to move. Online storefronts can use discount codes for the same purpose. The discount can be offered across the board, or used to bring in new customers with an interest in that particular product category, or sent to previous customers who bought similar products.

There are several ways discount codes can be applied. Etailers generally offer a set dollar amount off the normal price of a product, a percentage off the price of a single item, a discount on the order total, or free shipping on orders that exceed a minimum dollar amount.

Discount offers can be extended through a number of vehicles. They can be posted on the landing page of the storefront. They can be emailed to select past or potential customers. They can be introduced on the order summary page to encourage the customer to add items to the shopping cart. Or they can be listed at sites such as currentcodes.com or dealhunting.com.

Many etailers determine the effectiveness of their marketing strategies by tracking the use of discount codes. The information can help businesses achieve the highest possible ROI and sales at the best available rates.

Creating a marketing strategy for an internet based business certainly involves a generous level of online marketing however many businesses would prosper if their marketing strategy also included local exposure.

Local exposure is easier to obtain and often blooms into larger scale publicity. For example, a local news program might feature your product or service on an “about town” segment which is then picked up by the larger networks, blogs, and mainstream press. Additionally, it is always good to be able to say, “As seen on…” on your home page and in your marketing materials.

Local exposure is also good for business. People like to do business with folks they can relate to. Who better to relate to than a business owner who lives down the street?

So you know that local exposure is good for business but how does a company or business owner go about gaining that exposure? Here are 5 ideas on how to tap into your local market.

1. Host a seminar or workshop
for free through your local small business association, chamber of commerce, or community education program. This seminar or workshop will inevitably draw a number of attendees but more importantly it will be a reason to generate local press releases which may be picked up by the networks or local radio stations thus bringing bigger awareness to your company.
2. Partner with a local brick and mortar to cross promote or establish a joint venture. For example a local fitness shoe store could post advertisements, coupons, or business cards for your business as an online nutritionist or fitness coach and likewise you could promote the local fitness store. Giveaways and cross promotion can be publicized with a press release.
3. Post flyers locally. Flyers are a great and economical way to communicate with your neighborhood prospects who may or may not have seen your business online.
4. Sponsor a local team. Sponsorship is fun, it gives back to the community and it is an excellent way to gain local recognition. There’s nothing more fun than seeing a team wearing your company’s name on their team shirts.
5. Donate time, education, or funds to a local charity. Again, not only are you giving back to your community you’re gaining recognition. The charitable acts can also generate a press release for double exposure and awareness.

There are any number of ways to connect with your neighborhood prospects, gain awareness and grow your business. The important thing is to plan for it as part of a larger marketing strategy. Integrate local marketing into your complete plan for maximum results and growth.

content can do more to build your business and profits than just about any other resource or service available.

The numbers of ways in which you can use materials from Private Label Content to make money online are almost as varied and infinite as the Internet itself.

Following is a list of just 5 key ways that content can help build your traffic, subscribers, and customers starting today!…

1. Boost your search engine ranking
and daily visitor count by posting keyword rich articles and content on your web-site. For example, if your business involves offering products and services related to fitness, posting fitness related articles and content will attract unlimited prospective customers on a regular basis!

2. Generate double or even triple
the number of newsletter subscribers you do currently, simply by offering content in the form of "special reports" or manuals as bonuses for subscribing to your publication. People love freebies, so give them what they want and watch as your results increase!

3. Create an automated cashflow by using content to formulate multi-part email training courses with related web-site or affiliate links "sprinkled" throughout each course. Use an autoresponder service to automate the delivery of your training course (such as a 5 part training course delivered over a 5 day period).

Training courses can also serve as excellent bonus offers for your prospective newsletter subscribers.

4. One of the most important keys to a successful online business is not JUST having a list of mailing list or newsletter subscribers… It's about building a trusting relationship with your subscribers (ie, "cultivating" your list)…

By sending informative articles (content) to your list on a regular basis you will establish yourself as an expert on your topic of business, as well as gain the trust of your subscribers over time.

As a result, your subscribers will be EAGER to take advantage of your "paid" product and service offers. (Just make sure that you NEVER take advantage of the relationship you develop with your list by offering products or services of poor quality just to make a quick buck!)

If there is one "constant" in Internet marketing, it's this: A cultivated list of subscribers is as good as money in the bank. Write that down and never forget it!

5. Another excellent way to generate no cost traffic
is by submitting ready-made articles to "content hungry" web-site and newsletter publishers with your "resource box" attached. A resource box is nothing more than a little 3-6 line "bio" about you and/or your web-site - including a link to your site (or even instructions on how to subscribe to your newsletter)…

When submitting or offering your article(s) for reprint purposes, just make sure to specify that each article is to be reprinted "as is" with your resource box attached.

…Even one article can go a LONG way towards generating no cost traffic and visitors for you. Just imagine your article being sent out to a newsletter subscriber base of 100,000 individuals - many of whom will be reading YOUR included resource box and clicking on your URL to learn more about what you have to offer!

Well there you have it, 5 sure ways to build your online business exponentially with the help of articles and content…

With the declining effectiveness of many of the online advertising methods that we've relied on in past years, content is only strengthening its position as the ultimate KEY to generating unlimited traffic, subscribers, and customers!

Below is link to the best Private Label Content websites I have ever seen.

Your business isn’t growing. There are a number of reasons why it has happened.

Maybe it’s because you’ve lost your passion.
Maybe you’re overwhelmed.
Maybe you just don’t have enough time.
Maybe you’re disorganized.
Maybe your staff is inefficient (or maybe you are)
Maybe you don’t know how to grow your business to the next level (or maybe you don’t want to do what it takes)

Regardless of the reason why your business isn’t growing, it’s time to stop making excuses and do something about it. You worked REALLY hard to get to this point. You spent time, money, and a lot of energy to build your business. Certainly you’re not going to let it fritter away.

Here’s how to stop making excuses for why your business isn’t growing:

Step 1. Figure out why it isn’t growing
. Perhaps your product line is stagnant. Perhaps you’re only reaching 10% of your eligible prospects. Perhaps your sales page isn’t converting or your advertising campaign isn’t reaching the right people. The first step to figuring out how to stop making excuses is to honestly examine why it isn’t growing. The reason may reside completely in you – perhaps business got too big too fast and you don’t have time to catch up let alone build your business. This leads us to the next step.

Step 2. Decide if you want your business to grow
and if so, by how much? In short, if you do want your business to grow then set goals. If you’re making $50,000 in sales then maybe you want to set a goal of $75,000 in sales. If you have a customer base of 100 regular customers maybe you want to double it. Set reasonable and attainable goals.

Step 3. Analyze what is working to help you attain your goals and what isn’t working. For example, if you want to attain $75,000 in sales but you’re spending 50% of your time on administrative duties then your time isn’t being well spent.

Step 4. Make a plan to eliminate what isn’t working.
Using the example in step 3 if you’re spending 50% of your time on administrative tasks then outsourcing some or all of those tasks will free up a significant amount of time. Time you could spend on selling and reaching your new goal.

Step 5. This is the best part. Create a reward for attaining your goals. Part of the motivation to attain a goal, beyond self fulfillment and feeling very proud, is giving yourself a little pat on the back. Some may pat themselves on the back with a two week vacation to Hawaii, others prefer a new pair of shoes or a week off to go camping with their children. Whatever the reward, including it in your plan may be the extra motivation you need to get beyond excuses and into action.
Entrepreneurs are goal oriented, action oriented people. However sometimes life gets a bit out of control and instead of action, excuses fill the void. Regain your entrepreneur spirit, eliminate the roadblocks and hurdles and set new goals. It’s the best way to stop making excuses about why your business isn’t growing and remember why you got into business in the first place.

How to Make More Money With Information Products

How to Make More Money With Information Products Than Ever
Before By Using Three Powerful NO COST Tools

By Jimmy D. Brown of “Small Reports Fortune

……………………………

It’s all under your control.

If you sell information products and want to make more
money with them, there’s good news:

It’s all under your control.

That’s right, you can make more money with your
information products simply by doing something that you
have the power to do.

It’s not dependent upon anyone else. It’s up to you.

Let me explain …

While there are a lot of different aspects of selling
information products, there are really only two ways to make
more money with them …

Sell More
Refund Less

Really, it’s pretty much that simple.

In order to make more money with information products you
need to either SELL MORE or REFUND LESS.

Or, better still, do BOTH.

Now, in the many years I’ve been selling information
products, I’ve found there are three powerful tools that will
help you do just that.

You can use these three tools to SELL MORE by using them
on your classified ads, solo mailings, sales letters,
autoresponder messages and virtually any sales tool.

You can also use these three tools to REFUND LESS by
applying them to the information products you create.

Care to find out what they are?
Read on….

*** Three Powerful Tools ***
What makes these tools so powerful is a combination of
important benefits

* They don’t cost a penny to use.
* They work over and over again.
* They are under your control.

In fact, you already have them.

These three powerful tools are WAYS TO USE WORDS.

Tool #1. Education. When it comes to information products,
nothing comes close to the power and profitability of
educating your readers.

I’m talking the distance between the planet Pluto and the
computer screen you’re now staring at.

Not even remotely close.

Content is king. Nobody else gets to wear the crown or sit
on the throne. Content rules the land of information
products.

So, first things first, you gotta give your readers information
that educates them. You gotta teach them something.

Do this in your promotion tools (ezine articles, reports, sales
letters, etc.) and you’ll have readers thinking “This person
knows something … I better take a closer look.”

You’ll SELL MORE.

Educate customers in your information products and show
them how to produce results in their own lives and you’ll
make them happy, satisfied customers.

You’ll REFUND LESS.

Tool #2. Entertainment. To be completely honest, it’s not
enough to solely provide content. Even if it’s good content,
that won’t always get the job done.

Think of it this way: your high school civics teacher
provided you with (too much) content in a single 55-minute
class, but would you really buy anything from him?

Maybe a hall pass or a set of earplugs, but that’s about it. :o )

Nobody likes to read BORING content. We turn off boring
television programs, we fall asleep reading boring books and
we keep our credit cards tucked firmly inside our pockets
when we read boring sales letters, ezine articles, solo
mailings or special reports.

Make it fun. Make it entertaining. And you can do that by
using …

* Illustrations
* Funny stories
* Analogies
* Outrageous statements

I once wrote an article entitled “I’ll Swallow A Live
Grasshopper If This Doesn’t Boost Your Website Traffic”.

Do you think anyone read it?

Ask yourself this: would YOU like to read it?

We love to have a good time, and there’s no reason why you
shouldn’t apply that reasoning to your writing.

Keep readers interested as they consume your promotion
materials by entertaining them.

You’ll SELL MORE.

Help customers enjoy reading page after page of your
product by entertaining them.

You’ll REFUND LESS.

When you add entertainment to education, you’ll make more
money with information products …

… faster than you can say “ “LIVE GRASSHOPPER.” :o )

Tool #3. Emotion. Whether it’s outrage over an injustice,
excitement over a success or piqued interest over a
possibility, our emotions drive us.

Few decisions are based on intelligent analysis, but rather on
emotional response. Few actions are based on accurate data,
but rather on impulsive feelings.

We are emotional people. And there is no stronger proof of
that than to watch what we do and to listen to what we say.

Your job is to get us emotional. Fill us with hope.
Empower us. Give us courage. Motivate us. Issue a
challenge. Inspire. Get us to do something.

That’s what we really want. More than education, more than
entertainment – we want someone to compel us to do
something to make our lives better.

And the power and profits go to the ones who can do that.

Fill readers with hope and expectation with your marketing
materials.

You’ll SELL MORE.

Give your customers confidence and enthusiasm as they read
chapter after chapter of your information product.

You’ll REFUND LESS.

*** Conclusion ***

If you want to make more money with information products,
then you CAN do it. You’re in charge. It’s under your
control.

Education.
Entertainment.
Emotion.

Three powerful tools that lead to incredible profits.

But, only if you use them.

Some will read this article and discard it like they have done
with countless others.

And some will get busy.

I think you’ll be one of the few who will make more money.

Prove me right.

Seven Things Every Small Business Should Have When Starting Up

Starting a small business can be a hectic process, with a lot of work involved. Pulling everything together in order to make your small business successful takes dedication and planning. Some things that you need or want for your business can be put off, but there are other things that should be in place from day one. Here are a few things that are important to have in place before opening the doors of your small business.

1. Business Plan – A business plan can be like a map, to help you find the right direction to make your business a success. Business plans are also important when seeking funding for your business. Seek the assistance of a professional if you are not sure how to develop a plan properly.

2. Capital – There are very few cases where starting a business is free. Make sure you have enough funding, whether through savings, loans, or investors, to put your business plan into action. Generally, it takes some time for a business to begin to show a profit, so be certain that your fund will cover your expenses for an extended period.

3. Credit Line – Even if you feel you have plenty of money to get started and to sustain your business until it becomes profitable, having a line of credit in place is important. When unplanned expenses come up, you will always have a safety net. Additionally, maintaining a good credit record for your business can help in the future, should you need to obtain loans.

4. Location – Every business needs a physical presence somewhere. Your location might be a brick-and-mortar store or an Internet website. Be sure that there is some physical address that is associated with your business, for licensing purposes.

5. Licensing – Before advertising your business or opening the doors, make sure that you have obtained any licensing and permits that are necessary. You can be subject to fines and penalties if you are caught operating without proper permissions.

6. Insurance
– Depending on the type of business you are starting, you may need a variety of insurance services. The most important thing is to be sure that you are protected in cases of loss, damage, or lawsuit. If your business will employ others, consider a health insurance plan for yourself and your employees.

7. Accounting System
– Setting up a detailed accounting system is very important for a small business. This can help you to ensure that all bills are kept current and funds are distributed properly. It will also keep the necessary records for tax purposes. Tracking the income and expenses of your business is vital for your success.
